We had such an incredible experience with VEG about 2 weeks ago. We took our dog Luna in for acute toxicity (keep your fur babies away from grapes and raisins!!!) and every single person at VEG was so kind, understanding and compassionate about the situation. They took AMAZING care of Luna and when we left her there overnight I had no doubt that she was receiving the best care. Dr. Hauser was so kind and explained every step of treatment that was happening and provided regular updates which was so appreciated. We loved that we were able to be with Luna for the entirety of her care (some places you hand over your dog and sit in a waiting room for hours) which provided so much comfort to us and her. We also loved the open door policy which allowed us to come in and sit and be with Luna anytime we wanted for as long as we wanted. Luckily our girl is doing fine now but can’t thank the wonderful staff at VEG enough for the best care we could have asked for. So thankful to have Luna home happy and healthy thanks to the team at VEG.

The staff here are super friendly and offered me a warm reception when I brought my pets to the clinic. The veterinarian was patient with my questions and also my sick cat, Pacman, who was terrified during the ordeal. Pacman is feeling a lot better and I’m happy with the service I received in the emotional situation. The customer service from all of the faculty and staff at this facility was patient, understanding, caring, and empathetic towards my situation.

The Veterinary Emergency Group corporation still has work to do when it comes to offering financing options that are accommodating to families who can’t afford even the most basic treatments.

Everyone deserves pets. Dogs influence social, emotional, and cognitive development in children. They also promote an active lifestyle, provide companionship, and have even been able to detect oncoming epileptic seizures or the presence of certain cancers. Cats can provide emotional support, improve moods, and contribute to the overall morale of owners. The notion that merely those privileged with the fiscal means to afford the luxury of pet ownership is wack. Veterinary Emergency Group must work towards bringing pet care to the families who need it most.

Otis (our 3yo male cat) had an enlarged bladder and urinary blockage. Dr. Baker immediately saw us and discussed options clearly and thoroughly despite being busy. Otis had to stay overnight for two days and we were able to bring him back his blanket and toys, observe the procedure and view x-rays, and spend time with him throughout the weekend while he had to be treated. I hope of course I don’t have a reason to bring him in again for an emergency, but if I do I will absolutely be going back to VEG in Nanuet. The entire staff at VEG are so welcoming and kind. It’s clear that everyone who works here cares about the animals they are treating and it was much appreciated during a stressful time.

We brought our 8 week old puppy here on Christmas Eve after she drank soapy bathwater (we think) and was vomiting and lethargic. Dr. York was great and the nurses were helpful as well. Although some tests they did were redundant, all were necessary for peace of mind. Our little girl took a couple days to get back to normal but thanks to VEG,, she's back to her devil self.

We have nothing but praise and thanks for everyone at VEG in Nanuet. They saved our dog after he ate what could have killed him. The staff at VEG knew exactly what do and acted quickly. They handled our dog and my family with great care and compassion. I highly recommend VEG.
