I thought it was fine. I was going to stay longer and saw the reviews and decided to only stay a day. But we could have stayed a few days. Very nice check in (cash only) and a spacious site. No satellite. No cable. T-Mobile was good though. Fun to walk along the water and see the boats. Watch out when you cross the tracks near the entrance - swing wide!
Driving into this place is just gorgeous with huge trees covering the entire property with lush lawns between decently space camping sites. They also use a unique circular pattern which gives a bit more space between sites. Our site had a view of the lake out the front of our RV. Very very nice.
Only downside was no cable TV and insufficient internet speeds to stream (hence 4 stars instead of 5). Also, they only accept cash which can make it difficult if your not prepared. None-the-less we will obviously look forward to staying here again next time we are in the area.
Stopped here to rest our heads for the night on our way back to Erie, PA from Acadia National Park in Maine. Wow, what a nice surprise! We picked this campground because it was right off of Interstate 90, had hook ups and was on the Mohawk River. The owner was very welcoming to us upon our arrival. Be sure to bring cash or check! Scenic campground was spacious, well-groomed and tree-covered. Very quiet after dark. You do hear the occasional train, but not a huge deal. Enjoyed a stand up paddle board (SUP) ride on the Mohawk River. Nice docks located within the campground. Bathrooms were clean and dump station was conveniently located and a snap to use. Firewood for sale through the campground. The morning we left we stopped by The Hungry Chicken Country Store for coffee and amazing breakfast sandwiches. The store was darling and the employees were very friendly. We parked our truck and camper right across the street at the Rotterdam Kiwanis Park. This looked like a great place to access the Mohawk Hudson Bikeway. Overall, happy we selected this campground and will be back if travelling to and from the east coast again.
I just needed a place to stay overnight while traveling from Albany to Cleveland. This place exceeded my expectations in every respect - the office folks are super friendly and accommodating, the park is pristine, the pads are spacious and level, easy access to power and water (I didn't ask about dump) and most impressive of all (for me), super speedy 5G wifi!!
I will definitely come back to this place again as there's a lake right on the campground (thus, the 'marina' in the title) with outstanding views.
This is a beautiful campground that accepts cash or check only. The restrooms and showers were nice, as was the dump station. No problems with the electric or water at our site, which was well marked, shaded, and level. The Mohawk Hudson Bike Hike Trail runs right along the other side of the Mohawk River, with an access trail starting at the park and ride in front of the campground.
It was quiet and beautiful!
