Cathy Winter Music & Guitar Lessons

Cathy has been a wonderful teacher -- patient, encouraging, and willing to tailor every lesson to match my pace of learning. I never thought I'd be able to learn to play the guitar via Zoom, but Cathy has created an online environment that is completely effective. I'm grateful for the flexibility and safety of learning remotely and look forward to my lesson each week.

I am retired and started guitar lessons with Cathy. I'm really enjoying learning and playing. Cathy is great and a large reason for any progress I am making. She is patient and explains things giving you enough to go forward but not to much so your frustrated. Excellent guitar teacher in my humble opinion.

With Covid-19 lessons are now by zoom. I was skeptical but it turns out that the lessons are as good as when I was with Cathy in person. Maybe even better being as I get to enjoy the comforts of home.

I have been working with Cathy for over a year now as a new adult learning to play the guitar from scratch. We started in person prior to the onset of Covid 19 but then transitioned to online lessons via Zoom when our state when to shelter in place. The transition to online has been seamless and has in no way sacrificed the quality of our lessons or my ability to learn to play and progress through existing or new songs that Cathy adds via Dropbox. You need little technical capability to be able to make it work. I have been pleasantly surprised with the success of the online classes!

Cathy is an excellent guitarist and instructor! I took a few lessons with Cathy to help expand my basic guitar skills. The lessons helped build my confidence, introduced new repertoire for guitar, and prepared me for the skills I will need moving forward.

I have been taking guitar lessons for over a year with Cathy and have had a very enjoyable experience. I often bring in lyrics to songs that I would like to learn to play and Cathy helps me learn the chords and put it all together. As a person who often needs to travel for work, I am grateful to have a teacher who is flexible with scheduling. I would highly recommend her to students young and old!
