I may be one of the pickiest boat shoppers around and I bought my boat here. Daniel Bran is an awesome salesman and is as honest as they come. I’m an out of state buyer and they handled everything very smoothly. Owner is on site and is hands on. He has a great crew here. If you want a good salesman ask for Daniel. And if you have ever shopped for boats before good sales guys with product knowledge are hard to find.

We couldn’t have anything more positive to say about how things worked out for our new boat purchase last year. We were new boat owners and got a performance tri-toon. It’s a year later and we can say these guys are the best. Everything hummed from day one and they addressed any tiny warranty things perfectly. They had patience with us even though we were learning on the job. Great marina, great team.

Boats by George is sort of like the Disney World of boating. They really go above and beyond to take care of their customers. It seems to me that they sweat the small stuff, just like when you walk onto a Disney resort. I purchased a used boat from them that was significantly less than what I assume is their normal transaction amount. They still treated me fantastic throughout the entire process. Andrew was a great sales rep who was actually interested in helping you find the best boat for you. I was a cautious first time buyer, even though I grew up on boats. He was patient, not pushy, and answered all of my questions (I had many).

As part of the sale, we rented dock space from them and it made our experience so much better than if we had trailered the boat to Mossy Point every time. At delivery, Andrew spent a solid two hours helping me learn how to dock my boat in its' slip. At their Sandy Bay location, the service continues. Sean, their dock manager, and all of the staff are very friendly and helpful. George personally helped me with an issue with my trailer (I've seen him help others too) and Scott (one of the staff at the marina) has helped me many times with my boat. Dek, their service manager spent some time walking me through what to expect with winterization and storage.

It's pretty rare to find a place that is so focused on creating a positive customer experience, even if you aren't close to one of their largest purchases. I think it speaks volumes about the Pensel family and the culture of this business. It seems to me that they consider the lifetime value of a customer, as well as the potential for referrals from their many happy customers. These folks have earned my trust and certainly my business. I am grateful that they had the right boat at the right time for my young family, and that they make the process of owning a boat simple and fun. We have had a great first season on Lake George, and I'm looking forward to many more with the Boats by George crew!
