The BEST hidden secret in West Harrison!!! My 3yr old daughter joined Please and Thank you Children’s Place only recently and I am seeing such improvement in her speaking ability and her overall comprehension. Miss Carmel is full of love and is highly educated and well-spoken. She is exactly the type of person I’d like my child to learn from. The school also happens to be very affordable.

I have known Carmel for several years. Our relationship started when we worked together with a young boy in a school setting. I was new in the field of special education and I quickly learned that Carmel was an amazing asset and resource to have in my life. I learned several strategies and techniques on how to work with this child and how to implement these approaches in the classroom. Carmel was able to guide me and help me build my confidence on a professional level. I would seek out Carmel’s advice and council from then on when I needed a fresh outlook on a tough case. Carmel is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to working with children and is able to implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum in a number of diverse situations. She has fresh, inventive ideas when working with children and truly cares about each child she teaches. Our professional relationship quickly became friendly. Our families are friends and I continue to seek out guidance in my personal life now that I am a parent. I am proud and honored to call Carmel my colleague and my good friend. Any child and his or her family would be privileged to call Ms. Carmel their teacher.

Miss Carmel was truly put on this earth to work with children, without question. She envisioned this school to be exactly what it is many years ago, and has worked very hard to achieve every goal, with constant focus being on providing a quality of preschool experience that is so sorely lacking in this community and surrounding area. She cares deeply about each child she works with, which is reflected in the positive changes and growth that result. The woman is meticulous, so it's a very clean, healthy environment, safe physically as well as emotionally, and children will find themselves quite at home! And frankly, to be blunt, that's a whole lot more than I can say for some other preschools I know of, that are disorganized and dysfunctional, but do a great job covering up and appearing better than they are. What a refreshing and unique place Please and Thank You is!!

Carmel Tuminaro is the teacher every parent dreams their child will have. Her patience, kindness and warmth not only enhance a child's learning experience, but help put parents at ease. She is constantly willing to go the extra mile to keep parents informed and included in their child's growth and development. Wherever Carmel is teaching is where I want my child to be. Basically, if children came with instructions one would read "SEND ME TO THE PLEASE AND THANK YOU CHILDREN'S PLACE!"
