(May 2, 2018, 7:41 am)Would highly recommend the Fine Arts Music School. Instruction is tailored to the individual, be it a young child or a very mature adult as myself. The instructor, Janet Page, has dedicated her life to music, and piano in particular, and this comes across in each and every lesson. The annual recital in May has all the students performing and it always amazing how well everyone plays.
(May 1, 2018, 4:46 pm)Learning to play the piano was a lifelong dream of mine. I’ve been taking lessons from Janet now for five years. As an “adult” student starting from scratch, I was concerned that I would never really be able to understand music or become truly competent. When I look back to where I started from and how far I’ve come, I’m amazed. Janet is truly a genius at teaching. She makes difficult concepts easy to understand. And she truly understands the challenges of the adult learner. But learning is always enjoyable, never stressful. I look forward to my lessons and even my at-home practicing sessions. It’s become a kind of therapy for me! I would recommend Janet and the Fine Arts Music School to any who is serious about learning to play the piano.
