I had a great experience with Dr Sasson! She was attentive, spent all the time I needed, unrushed and very focused on my concerns. She’s consistently returned my calls, promptly and has been quite helpful with my medical issues!
I visited Dr. Sasson when another doctor cavalierly told me that I had a potential gluten intolerance (from looking at a blood test) and needed to eat gluten-free asap. I was training for an endurance race at the time and was not keen about changing my entire diet. I sought out the advise of Dr. Sasson who suggested I have an endoscopy - the proper way to diagnose celiac disease. The test was scheduled for the same week at New Rochelle Hospital (now Montefiore) in a private, clean procedure room and the results were shared promptly. (No gluten-intolerance or celiac - just a false positive on the blood test). Dr. Sasson was empathetic (it appears to me that the review below does not refer to Dr. Sasson but to her staff), thorough and a great diagnostician. I highly recommend her.
I was referred to Dr Sasson through my ob/gyn Dr Ullman. I needed to be seen on an emergency basis and she was able to accommodate me on the same day. I had two appointments with her in fact because my other gastroenterologist was on vacation and unavailable to see me. I thought for a Doctor Who knew nothing about me but yet news the severity of various medical conditions that I had, and she did a very wonderful job especially with limited access to my medical records. I would definitely use her again.
