Apropos Restaurant at The Abbey Inn

What a spectacular spot overlooking the Hudson River. A former nunnery, redone to perfection. Perfect spot for that special meal or event. Food was delicious. The olive oil cake was delicious, topped with chocolate chip Gelato and home made pistachio brittle. Very inventive

We came here after visiting the spa and it was the perfect ending to a relaxing day. We were seated by the windows which have a gorgeous view of the Hudson. Our waiter was just the right amount of friendly. I wish I remembered her name. The appetizers were excellent. We had the Caesar salad, mushroom flatbread, and roasted carrots. My husband had the pork sandwich with fries which he really enjoyed; I had the vegetable panini which was fine. The marinated vegetables competed too much with the pesto. The panna cotta and espresso at the end were perfect. Our favorite part was the extra virgin olive oil on top of the panna cotta. We will definitely return.

We had the option of sitting outside which was lovely! (Especially once we got a lantern since it was an 830pm res!) We sat right by the little koi pond. The food was yummy! Not the best I've ever had but good. My husband enjoyed the cappiletti and the charred peach appetizer was to die for. I also enjoyed my strawberry Panna cotta for desert. Lovely vibe and staff. Cool experience overall because of the location

Very beautiful views of the hudson river! High class ambiance inside the restaurant, everything is brand new!! The food was amazing and customer service was fantastic. Our server Ramona was personable, attentive, and everything a waitress is suppose to be! They have outside seating as well. Their food is Farm to table style so it’s super fresh :) The Marinated eggplant Panini and Pee Wee potatoes were SOOO GOOD!! We will be back

Suggestion for improvements: Supposedly on Sundays the dessert menu has 1 or 2 items to choose from. More options are needed for the sweet tooth crowd!
