“Amazing, Professional, Crew! John is a very knowledgeable Electrician! Excellent at working on nostalgic, older homes- with many more complications than working on new homes & apartments! I needed a new outlet installed in my living room- to handle a 22,000 BTU Air Conditioner. They had to go down 3 floors- to the basement, and take apart my fuse box, and they installed like a second mini fuse box, with a very nice modern switch- that can power my outlet, with an equal amount of high power in BOTH the upper & lower plug. The wire they had to run, was very long and complex- to get to the outside, of where my apartment is located, then they ran a modern and nice conduit pipe-like strip all the way up to the second floor from the basement, three floors down. Their work was flawless, and given the complexity of the job, it was done in a very quick and efficient time frame. John is very good at returning messages, I was contacted in under 24 hours from leaving a message, he keeps you up-to-date with text messages on when he's arriving. John is a great listener! And very gifted at understanding what you're explaining, and what you want done. I believe his pricing is very fair- for the work & skill they put into your installation. John & his crew went above and beyond expectations for what they were here for: in terms of quality, in terms of equipment, and in terms of service!! “We have a 10 year old self starting home backup Generac Generator. We get annual service/check ups on it. The last couple months it started having problems self starting. Despite us knowing how to reset and restart it ourselves..it got to the point where it just would not start. We'd had the battery replaced within the last 1-2 yrs, so my spouse and I thought maybe things are going bad on it, and it's just time to have the Generator replaced. We had 5 local companies come out to look it over with Ambrose Electric being the second to last one for problem solving, and/or an estimate. Mike Stein, the Vice President of Ambrose came out and thought it might be the "Step Motor." He offered to have one of his techs come out the next morning to "CHECK IT OVER FOR FREE," and based on what the tech found, Mike would inform us either what it would cost to fix it, or send us an estimate for a new generator. When I came home from work the next day....there was a message from Mike on our home phone. When I called him back---he said the generator simply needed "valve adjusting and will work fine for several more years." I was surprised, and asked him, “what do we owe you?” He responded with: "NOTHING---your records show you're due for another service in November, so I recommend you get it serviced then, and if any problems before that--let me know!" WOW!!!! We are so impressed!!! THIS MAN could have said anything from having whatever fixed to whatever price, or that we needed a new generator. But---he was HONEST! We are sticking with Ambrose Electric, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them for your Generator / electrical needs!!!”

They immediately set up an appointment for an estimate at no charge. Gary and Carlos arrived on time. We went over all the work needed. They seemed extremely knowledgeable. But knowing Mel Carr’s reputation for quality work, and the expression “you get what you pay for”, I gave them the ok. It took them a little less than 2 hours. They were so knowledgeable, efficient and polite, and explained everything. When Gary wrote up the bill, he said he overestimated some items and charged me about $150 less than the estimate, which I thought was more than fair. (I hope I don’t get Gary in trouble.)
