“The Reform Temple of Forest Hills is a warm, welcoming synagogue. The clergy is supportive, energetic, innovative, and caring. We have a rich and diverse community where all are welcome. As a member of our Social Action Team, we are continually involved in activities to support our local and broader New York City community with food, clothing, and various acts of caring and kindness. I am looking forward to our next Midnight Run, when we will meet with homeless individuals on the streets of Manhattan, share some food and hot coffee and do our best to supply necessary clothing, toiletries, and other articles of need. Stop by and learn more about our Temple and the many educational opportunities provided by our wonderful religious school, as well as our Rabbi and Cantor. Finally, our music is incredibly beautiful and diverse: coming to services to hear our Rabbi speak, as well as our Cantor, chorus and musicians, is a truly wonderful experience.”

“Modern Orthodox services on Saturdays, with a cantor that has a magnificent voice. The community feels like a family. Definitely give this synagogue a try. Services are Saturdays at 9 am and after services there is a light meal downstairs. They have a guard guarding the doors and the sanctuary is just beautiful.”

“I had my Bar Mitzvah here back in 1986. Really beautiful Synagogue, but we mostly did it to please my grandparents, since they were Orthodox (I was just waiting for the big reception party with friends and family back at our house following the ceremony). I also attended high school nearby at Edward R. Murrow, so I always would pass by EMJC on my way to and from school. I got a scholarship from them for going to Israel the summer after I graduated from Murrow, and also for when I went off to college.”
