“Staff here was friendly, informative and helpful. You can enter the battery through the tunnel next to here. Check the schedule before you come. They are not open every day. You can also enter the battery through the steel fence door beside the waterfront. But you’d better check with the staff here before you go to make sure it is open to public and the time the door will be closed. Some people who entered without notice had been locked inside before as I heard.”

“We stayed here in February 2013, while much of the immediate area had still not recovered from Hurricane Sandy. Thanks to the efforts of the owner, Mike, this house had survived the storm, and was in good condition. The metro trains were not running across the bay, being replaced by a replacement bus service. The accommodation was an excellent base for our city break. The owner was very helpful. We had no complaints about the arrangements at all. We would recommend this house and would come back and stay here.”
