Lots of cool critters, love the habitats! The horses are a bonus when passing through. Just a truly gorgeous place all around!
Cedarock park is sooo beautiful. What an amazing experience I had. It is great for walking and it has something for everyone. This place is so peaceful that it just melts your stress away. This is my new favorite place!
It's a lovely park with wonderful trails. The waterfall has easy access with a paved trail. However, for those with wheelchairs or power chairs, there is a decline/incline. It is lovely seeing all the historic houses and buildings preserved from the old farm/plantation. I would, however, suggest that the trails be more clearly marked. There are a few places where it can be confusing.
I am very fortunate to have this park about a mile from my house. It has over 5 miles of hiking trails that take you through fields and woods and by and across streams and ponds. The trails are well marked and clean. There are pocket sized maps at the trail heads to help you find your way. There are plenty of other activities too like disc and foot golf, fishing, camping and canoe rentals. There are things to see too like the historic farm with beautifully restored buildings and the waterfall at the old mill dam. There's a playground for the kids and shelters for outings and picnics. There's a boardwalk on the Spoon Branch trail that's not stroller friendly but that's the only negative thing that I can say about this place.
Very glad to see trail restoration in progress at this beautiful county park. The waterfall area is a picturesque spot that is a short walk from the park office and playground area. Hiking the trails that follow the creek are peaceful places that can be somewhat challenging due to uneven, rocky ground. Rain lilies can be found in damp areas in the Spring along with other natural wonders year round.
