I think Hawbridge is a pretty good school. For the most part they hire caring, competent teachers, and the school culture is wonderful. A thing to keep in mind if you are thinking of sending your children here or going here yourself is that at Hawbridge we do not have as many opportunities as other schools and at the high school level especially there are a few less classes than there might be at other places. It isnt that bad though, and there are plenty of classes to taek if you want to.
A lot of the one star reviews are from last school year when there was drama surrounding two of the teachers and the administration. That has since been sorted out, and although I disagree with some of the administrations decisions, I think all in all, Hawbridge is a pretty good place to go.
love this school. I have a great experience with this school. They always keep in contact with parents!
Love this school - we've done public and private and Hawbridge offers a solid experience. Music program is top-notch and teachers I've met seem passionate and are encouraged to be creative. Highly recommend, especially if your family is in need of a supportive and nurturing safe space for your child.
Recently, students in high school have been leaving one star reviews mostly because (though it doesn't show) 3 teachers liked by all the students left. One left because of a college opportunity, not because of the administration firing her. Students don't know the situation of why the other two left and assume they were fired. I can't judge one of their teaching skills, as I never had her as a teacher. However, I can say, that while both of them were awesome, one of them wasn't the greatest teacher in town. My grades were all very high, except for her class. Last year, I had a high performance for that class, but this year I had a D in it. The school itself is great, the 7th graders of 2017-2018 school year are the main middle school problem with trash around the halls and tables. The disciplinary administrator isn't a problem in the slightest. Especially if you actually follow the rules of the school and don't get sent there. The school director also doesn't really affect anyone at all, even if they make him about to be big and bad. Overall, the school is great, a lot of people are winy and overreact to anything that goes on, and assume the worst when something they don't like happens.
