Sunshine Coin-Operated Laundry

Its the only laundry mat I've found in Caldwell or Catawba County that is open 24 hours! I was having to drive all the way to Valdees before because I couldnt find any 24 hour places around here at all. Its also one of the cheapest places I've found. It's clean and well maintained. The machines work well, and will actually get the clothes clean. They don't have that weird gunk that builds up in a lot of laundry mat machines from all the different detergents mixing together over time. It leaves that weird smell and texture on your clothes. A lot of laundry mats don't bother cleaning it out, or they don't do it very often. It seems like someone keeps these machines cleaned out on a regular basis. I believe I only saw 1-2 washers and 1-2 dryers that were out of order, and they are clearly labelled. There are enough machines so that the couple broken ones don't hinder anyone. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because there's no restrooms, which isn't really a big deal, I just wish they had one. There are a few doors that look like they could possibly be a restroom but they are kept locked. So if you need to go while you're there you either have to hold it, or leave your clothes unattended while you go somewhere else, which I don't like doing. That is the only complaint I have with them. Other than that its probably one of the best laundry mats I've found so far! If I you're looking for a laundry mat, this is the one I'd recommend, hands down!! So happy I stumbled across this little place when I did! Its so much closer, its cheaper, and the machines work better!

Sunshine is long in the tooth, but the machines all work well. It never takes me long to wash my clothes. But I have spent many hours there, talking to people.
