“Really an incredible meal. The entire experience was wonderful. The food was delicious. We had Flounder, Perch and a seafood platter. All perfectly prepared. The service was quick and the waitress was attentive and kept all our drinks full. She also brought plenty of hush puppies and tarter sauce. Damn that food was incredible. Could not find a single bad thing to comment on. Hell, even the fat cat outside by the pond was friendly! LOVED IT! Do yourself a favor and check this place out. They will certainly see us again the next time we are in town.”

“Love this place, it's like a visit to my past while having so much from today. On of the largest Carhartt clothing selections in the area. GENERAL STORE is the perfect name. Something from everything is here. One of those old time Hardware stores that you can find those things that "Lowe's or Home Depot" doesn't carry. Great grocery store and more. You can find pop (soda) from your childhood. Going fishing? What you need is probably here. Fill up your car, truck, boat or other sporting vehicles here. Need feed for your animals this is the place.”

She goes out of her way to find anything my son needs for his sax. She's also done several repairs for us and always helps when she can on the cost. “So Boss Hog changed management and/or ownership sometime in 2018. We’ve lived in Sherrills Ford about four years and had an entirely unsatisfactory experience at Boss before the change. What a difference! Don’t get me wrong. My observation of the old Boss was a very popular joint that, based on the look of the place-inside and out—was not appealing. I guess the BBQ was good, we didn’t think so, but it was a no frills place. The new Boss hasn’t changed in size or shape but it’s way more appealing in its appearance. It’s still a no frills BBQ joint but it doesn’t inspire apprehension walking in the door. By the way, the food is excellent; the Shrimp PoBoy is loaded with shrimp, the Pork and Chicken are top notch. Service is quick and friendly. Here’s to Boss Hog, fine dining it isn’t, fine food is absolutely is.”
