The Travelling Cafe

Leslie and her staff catered an event for us last week, and the food and service were phenomenal. They are a pleasure to work with; they listened to our needs and went above and beyond what we expected. Her food is absolutely delicious. She provided a lovely variety of flavors, and the freshness and quality were unparalleled.

We had so much fun attending the cooking class at The Travelling Cafe. It is such a fun idea for a date night, or something different to do with your friends.The dishes were amazing and quite tasty .We had so much fun making them while learning a few tricks for cooking and baking. It is located right in downtown Pittsboro and I think its a great addition to Chapel hill/ Pittsboro area. It's a unique place to spend quality time .

We will definitely attend more classes in the future and tell all our friends about this great place.

When deciding on the right present for a friend’s milestone birthday celebration, someone suggested we buy her a home cooking class. The birthday girl had been talking about bringing friends together to make pasta at her house, so this seemed like the perfect gift.

We were not disappointed! Leslie really seemed to “get” our group and came to the party with the right ratio of pre-prepared ingredients vs. things we made ourselves. She worked with the conversation flow and knew when to step in (and to step out). And, possibly most helpful, she cleaned up as she went along.

The food was really delicious!! (particular shout-out to the seafood bastilla, everyone’s fave) And we were all happy to discover that none of it was hard to make, so it was nice to receive all the recipes afterward.

The Travelling Chef planned, prepared, and served five courses to eight people for my daughter’s fourteenth birthday party. (The dinner was a gift from her aunt and uncle.) The food was delicious—the guests agreed that it was the best meal they’d ever had—and Chef Leslie was both: 1) an amazing sport who made herself right at home in the madhouse that is a drama kid’s murder mystery party (and tolerated my buttling); and 2) a mesmerizing artisan whose mise en place game is noice AND toit! The entire experience was so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend booking The Travelling Chef.

I love working with Leslie from The Travelling Cafe! We've booked her team for two different events, and each time they've gone above and beyond. At one of our events, one of our attendees was allergic to garlic and onions, and The Travelling Cafe easily accommodated these dietary restrictions for a 5-course Spanish tapas meal. They are so organized, and the food is delicious!
