“Clean gas. Clean restrooms. Doesn’t have that “subway sandwich” smell. What more could a boy want? How about fresh donuts, like the Cruizers over by the lake? That’d make this a 5-star visit! Also, beware: the first time “Cruizers” showed up on my credit card statement, took a lot of fast talking to convince my wife it was a gas station and not some other kind of establishment.”

“Such a wonderful campground! My husband and I came for a weekend to get away from the craziness and the hustle and bustle and Poplar Point was too perfect. The sites are really well-spaced out and everything is so clean. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the trails and lake access are so convenient and clean too! If you are unable to reserve a site ahead of time and have to grab a FF (first come first serve) site like we did, be sure to get there before 5 on Friday to make sure there are sites available because they fill up FAST and there’s a line to check-in. All in all, such a great and beautiful place!!”

“Gas at decent prices, corn hole games, and watermelons available in the Summer? Yep. This is no average gas station. Oh... also plenty of bait and tackle supplies as well. What that has to do with gas, I have no idea, but it is close to Ordan Lake I guess. It's quirky, country, and convenient. The only reason for the star knock off is the spider webs on the pumps. I'd love if they knocked them down more often. If traveling on NC 751 from southern Wake County and you need fuel, this is definitely for you. It's the only location for fuel where you can enter to the right and exit to the right (ie, not turn against the speeding traffic on 715). Watch the re-entry drive onto 751. Steep grade, but do-able.”
