“As soon as we arrived in Corolla, we knew we had reached a very special place. The Wild Horse Inn made our experience even more special! The Oliva family made us feel welcomed throughout our entire visit. We're not the only ones who feel that way, as the locals can't get enough of this place! The innkeepers have truly created a wonderful space for everyone to enjoy all year long. They have built up a great community there. We got to enjoy a Kentucky Derby party while we were there! The rooms are lovely: clean, comfortable, modern and well decorated. The gathering area downstairs is inviting and fun. The Inn is within walking distance of anything you might need while in Corolla. We are hooked and will be back again!!”

“Another store that I really enjoy. I am all about flowy, comfortable clothes that keep you cool in the hot temperatures of the Outer Banks. They had a nice selection of quality, comfortable sandals. “We were in the area for another function but also my son needed a hair cut. We searched and this was the closest place. I was very pleased by my experience here. The shop was small, but the two women working there were very courteous and friendly. We didn't have to wait long before it was our turn. One suggested I get my beard trimmed . I wasn't planning on it but had it done anyways . I was more than happy with how it turned out. I never had it done so well before that I will def be back. I loved my experience there today. I wish I had gotten the name of the lady who took care of me today”

“Right when we walked in we were waited on and told 5 minute wait for a table. Then bartender starts talking to us making us feel welcomed while we waited. The wife the flautas which were excellent. I got the shrimp tacos. Really liked them. Would have loved them if they came with cilantro versus lettuce. Oh and I added the pickled onions from my wife’s flautas and they were awesome! Great service and food here!”

“Very warm and hospitable staff. They make you feel like your visiting with friends. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Shower had decent pressure and bed was comfy and clean. Be prepared to climb some stairs, or alot of stairs depending on your room, but gorgeous views of the sound are worth it. Very dog friendly establishment. Breakfast is complimentary and continental.”

“Really nice people serving some really good ice cream. We parked in front of the window, walked up to the window to place our order, a little bowl of chocolate ice cream for our daughter was given to us, my hot fudge Sunday was brought to me while I was sitting in my vehicle in the driver seat and milkshake was brought to my wife while she was sitting in the passenger seat of my vehicle. There is inside and outside seating and a few things for the children to play with outside. A nice place to stop while driving to from the beach while on Route 158.”

“Seriously the only place you should go to in Currituck for a great selection on beer and wine. The owner, Kevin, is friendly and very knowledgeable on craft beers and microbreweries across the state. Thankfully because of NC ABC laws, Kevin is able to travel across the state and get kegs directly from breweries that other local places will not have access too. They sell full six packs, build-your-own 4 and 6 packs, and fill growlers. Prices are in line with everything you would expect for craft beers without the increases of what you pay for down in the OBX.”

At first, we were hesitant in using this company to store our daughter's car while staying in the 4x4 based on the mixed reviews, BUT I'm also a believer in giving everyone a fair chance before making a judgment. So glad we did! The owner is actually a real treat in person. Bonus for meeting his little pup Dizzy! Listen to him, be respectful, and it'll all work out. He charges a fair price for week-long parking, and allowed us to switch to her car at anytime during our stay. This proved to be so helpful b/c it saved us from having to continuously air up/down our 4WD truck's tires each time we came off the 4x4 for an extended drive. I'm sorry to hear that others may have had a negative experience. Just wanted to take time to share a positive review based on our personal experience.”

“For a beach gym this got the job done. However i felt like lack of reviews & photos made it hard for me to decide where to lift so i hope this helps someone down the road. Weightlifting: there are 2 rooms with weights & 1 room solely dedicated to cardio. One room is slightly more upper body focused while the other room does have 2 SQUAT RACKS, 4x 45LB bars & ample of bumper plates. Daily rate is $20 per person. I didn’t ask about weekly drop in rate & bathroom/ showers are very clean.”

“There are many good pizza places on Corolla, and this one is one of the best! The buffalo wings were also very hot and fresh, and so was the salad. Highly recommend this place! Delivery did take a bit, but it’s worth the wait for this place. Some places you wait very long and the food isn’t that good, but the wait is definitely worth it here!”

“They have lots of basic items, but it is like a hoarder's home. Everything is crammed in so tight it is almost claustropic in nature. More expensive than Family Dollar but less than Food Lion on same items. Update Sept 2021: New staff at this location are hands down great! “Delicious homemade icecream with a lot of flavor to choose from. Love the banana flavor one they use real banana. And the sea salt caramel really have a good kick. The service was a bit slow I was just watching three them behind walking around but not Serving customers. It took a little time to get the Oder, I guess they are very young not very familiar with the tools.”
