Duck Town Park Boardwalk

We are new to N.C and we have loved exploring the state. This was a stop to do either early in the morning or right as the sun starts to go down. It has different areas you can get off to see the local shops (loved that option), benches along the way in case you want to stop, even had shops on the boardwalk if you didn't want to get off of it.
Recommend yes.

Gorgeous garden out front, kayak launch off boardwalk, and lots of birds, turtles, and other wild life to watch.

Extensive system of boardwalks along the sound. This is an excellent place for a variety of outdoor activities: kayak or paddle board launch, fishing, sunset watching, birding, etc. there are public restrooms and a play area for kids. Some free public parking. Access from several commercial lots.

Very nice walk to explore the sound. There are lots of benches for lingering along the way. Ample parking is available, as well as a small playground for the little ones.

Very nice boardwalk, on the sound side. It does go behind a few shops that you can stop at along the way, such as Duck Donuts and Super Wings, but nature is the main attraction.
We enjoy crabbing here, there are a couple of good places. We do catch and release.
There are public restrooms a short walk from the public parking lot... just take the land trail to the left and when you come to the clearing they are to the left.
