Yadkin River Park

This new park is fantastic! I technically went before it opened because I didn't know the hours are Dawn to dusk..but my dog and I enjoys walking across the bridge and watching the cars and trains pass by, as well as the moon reflection off the river. We walked down the steps, but we'll go back when the sun's up to do some real exploring. (I work night shift, so 6am is late in the day for me)

This is a very nice park. Open and Clean. I do Like that there is Video surveillance Cameras for the parking area. The gravel walking trails are nice. There is room for improvement. Looking at the board at the finished project is exciting. A few things would be nice to add a map of the walking trail and better signs throughout the trail. The Benches are wonderful on the trail. There is a couple of random houses. Not sure if one is vacant or someone is living there right in the middle of the walking path and it leads into the driveway. Very uncomfortable feeling not knowing if we were walking in their yard or part of the parks dept. And when we got to the end of a trail it just ends and says no trespassing, but a trail grassy trail that leads to The Old York Hill sign and the boat access. Other than those few things Which I feel will get upgraded when its all done. Its a very nice park and will keep going and recommend to my friends. Thank You Davidson County for fixing this area up. ❤️

Visited the park this past Sunday. Happy to see several people walking on the bridge and a few walking in Fort York.

I am amazed at how they transformed this place. Such a nice place to walk and Kayak. Could use speed bumps as people are driving way to fast around the hill close to new parking lot.
