Functional Phyzio and Performance Therapy - Durham

I cannot recommend Functional Phyzio enough! I have worked with Norah from my second trimester of pregnancy through my postpartum journey. She is incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and a safe place to share the discomforts and struggles of pregnancy and postpartum. I credit her with how smooth and mostly pain free my pregnancy was and how quickly my labor as a first time mom went! I have learned so much as a client. I understand my body and how i can support it through all of the changes of having a baby. Everyone needs Norah in their life!!!

After having my first baby in December 2021 via c-section, I was left with a number of unwanted symptoms. I spoke with several individuals from my care team who all reassured me that things would be fine. I could not walk up straight and was in a lot of pain. I found Functional Phyzio on a Facebook ad randomly. After my assessment, it was really great to see that all these symptoms were not in my head! Since working with Dr. Hurst, I have been able to start moving again and gaining more confidence in my physical body.

I credit Norah with helping me maintain the fitness and stamina that I need to enjoy an active lifestyle in my retirement, including competing in equestrian sports. Over the past 4 years I have worked with Norah in PT, recovering from a back injury and in personal training to improve coordination and agility. Norah has keen assessment skills and a talent for getting to the root of pain or muscular problems quickly.
