I have been going to Dr. Lenox since I was in 7th grade. I am now 20 and through having to switch therapists constantly due to moving schools, I can confidently say Dr. Lenox is the best therapist I’ve ever had. For any negative reviews I’m sorry, but if you’re looking for a therapist to tell you what you want to hear, Lenox is not for you. You will not see much self growth if you’re just looking for constant validation. We both laugh at how I used to be so upset with her honesty, but even more upset that EVERY TIME she was right. I am so excited I have her as my therapist again. Through just 2 sessions after coming back on her schedule, I have felt more growth than 20 sessions from other therapists. She’s seen it all. She gets it. And she genuinely cares. I will continue to go to Lenox until she retires. She’s just THAT good.

If you're not happy with how things are going, and you want it to get better, (and you're willing to do a little homework between sessions in pursuit of a better life), go see Dr. Lenox.

Counseling requires a good personal fit. Dr. Lenox may not be for you if you'd rather be coddled than supported; if you'd rather not be challenged to see things from another angle; if you're uncomfortable ever being disagreed with. "Tough" isn't the right word to describe her though, because she's extremely compassionate. Too compassionate to let you wallow rather than help you move toward something better.

I recognized that what I was doing before wasn't working. I started working with Dr. Lenox and her colleague, Dr. Tinney, because I was having panic attacks and anxiety about... just about everything. My symptoms had made my world very small.

We immediately worked through the panic attacks--it may have only been one or two sessions. Then we started unraveling the anxiety. It took a while, and a lot of sometimes-uncomfortable growth, but we got the anxiety pretty well managed, and then I had a new baseline.

Since then, our sessions have developed from surviving to thriving, and now to discovering joy in life that seems extraordinary--back in the day, I wouldn't have imagined I could embrace the experiences in my life the way I do now.

Looking back, I can hardly understand why I waited as long as I did to get Dr. Lenox's help. But I am glad I did make the call. If you suspected there was even the tiniest possibility of ending up with a more joyful life, why wouldn't you take that opportunity?

Also, if it won't distract you too much, she'll probably let you bring your well-behaved dog with you.
