Harvest 18 in Durham, NC uses local fresh ingredients from farmers around the area! The menu is focused on fresh ingredients available and is chef-driven by Jason and David. Their southern dishes are so good! The pork shank is roasted for 12 hours and falls off the bone. Loved their shrimp and grits which has locally caught shrimp. Their wood-fire grilled meatloaf has a house made red pepper jelly and is one of their most popular dishes! We spoke with Chef David about the dishes and there’s some exciting things coming in the future!
A modest little place in a strip mall, Harvest 18 presented a great meal. I had their spectacularly delicious, buttery she-crab soup, and an equally fabulous shrimp, scallop and vegetable special. They use many locally-sourced ingredients, and the chef balances seasonings well. The care used in preparing, finishing and plating was apparent. The have a good variety of liquors available at the bar. I had a Macallan, neat with a splash, and recieved a healthy pour. My dining companion had fish and chips. The breading of the flounder was wonderfully unique, and the fries were well done. I highly recommend this little restaurant, and I sent compliments to the kitchen. Yum!
Wow, amazing place I feel like I just happened to find. Our server (Eli) was fantastic, fresh food, great atmosphere- we will be back! The manager was super nice and checked in multiple times. The experience was so great I looked like a hero to my guest :-). Thanks for coming thru with an amazing experience!
Love this place and lots of vegan options. The food was fantastic. I went there with friends and liked it so much that I returned with my Dad the next night. I went both time for dinner but really want to checkout brunch the next time I am in town.
After a power outage occured at the restaurant that my wife I were planning to go to for a "Date night", Harvest 18 came to the rescue to salvage the night. We had a tight schedule and lost a lot of time and were looking for restaurant with fast service and great food and they were perfect choice!
Service was great, Loved the Artichoke dip and loved the Chicken and gravy. The catfish wasn't my wife's favorite but she definitely wants to visit again to try something different since everything else was good.
Definitely recommend for those looking for a great meal, nice atmosphere and fast and quality service.
