A few weeks ago my dog started showing signs of discomfort late on a Friday night. I looked up 24 hour vets in the area and they were very helpful over the phone letting me know their hours, the charges, and their protocols with the pandemic. They took my dog immediately and were able to identify the problem (a slipped disc) and treat her so she was more comfortable. I was especially thankful that they were so kind and pleasant to work with, because when my dog is in pain I get pretty stressed and the bedside manner goes a long way.
Dr. Tiller and the staff were so good to my dog. They were very reassuring and were thorough in their examination and came up with a comprehensive care plan for my dog’s needs. Can not recommend them enough!!
Durham Location: When my dog unexpectedly started having seizures I called VSH (recommended by our regular vet) in a panic and they went above and beyond from the first phone call to help me through the unfortunate situation. Each person I spoke with at this office was calm, courteous and professional! I never felt pressured into treatment, felt I was given honest recommendations for my dog's condition and felt BEYOND confident that she was going to be taken care of while staying there! They called several times to give updates throughout her 24-hr stay; always reassuring me she was in good hands! If I ever was in an emergency situation again I'd 100% go with them!
Good location, great staff, only downside is it is expensive. But they did help my dog on short notice after he had been bitten! Thank you VSH.
We called ahead and the front desk was ready for us when we arrived. We had no wait on a Saturday evening visit. The vet and nurse were gentle and caring with our sick dog. The vet spent time with us to discuss all our treatment options. All vets are obviously smart, but Dr. Miller was also compassionate, taking care to ensure our understanding of the issue and to answer our questions.
Please note that I also shared a photo of the take-home-meds bag decorated by a nurse while we waited for test results! We appreciated the love, care, and time shared by everyone!
