Melanie's Sewing Room

In the time I have known Melanie on a professional basis, she has completed 3 separate projects for my Day Spa/Salon. I am a NYC transplant and being a very over the top person in standard, I have nothing but 5 Stars to share regarding the craftsmanship and level of detail. We have a live and work space in one. Melanie completed a set of curtains in a studio apartment setting that was very Japanese in design with panels creating a door for a bedroom. Immediately the privacy was achieved and also temperature of room contained. Windows in the bedroom in a studio basement needed to be addressed.The engineering of this design for these awkward windows left me understanding this professional has been sewing a lifetime. Melanie is mindful in all details of execution.
Our sunroom is our client waiting room and lounge. The filtering of the sun is an issue and can heat the room up quite a bit, the winter can be chilly. Melanie created a customized drape that keeps the room stable in temperatures. The house is a home built in the 60's, all the windows are original and Melanie with her toolbox of knowledge and experience was able to fit all the windows addressed like a glove. The pieces themselves superb and the engineering is a separate feet. All completed perfectly. Melanie has wonderful communication skills in being very clear at all times what to expect and also creating a dialogue that is vital in exceeding all expectations. We are grateful to Melanie for her skillset and I would never consider asking anyone else for professional aid. There is a lost art form of local and small business that must be respected and supported. I would not consider consulting any franchise or corporate facility in trying to establish a finer presentation for our clients, whilst lifting us up in pride and esthetic for our business and home dwelling.

Absolutely wonderful work, Melanie is a meticulous artist with any textile, beautiful craftsmanship. It is always such a pleasure to work on a project with Melanie!
