Catha's Taekwondo America

I've worked with Mr. Catha for years and he is a fantastic martial artist but even more, he is a better person. You won't go wrong picking this school to start or continue on your martial arts journey.

My youngest son has been asking for almost two years to do taekwondo. The thought of another activity and another commitment made my head hurt, but after having my son look at me this fall and say, "Mom, I want to do taekwondo. I want to find 'my' thing to be good at and proud of", well... I did some research.

Catha's gets great reviews online and they responded quickly to my inquiry. They told him to come in shorts and a t-shirt to give class a try. He did. He was terrified. And then he was smiling. And then he was hooked. In just over two months, he's gotten a yellow belt (and he's getting ready to test for his orange). More importantly, he has a newfound confidence and he has found 'his thing'.

Drew and Lauren Catha are firm, but fair. They have created a real community within the school. The families all know and support each other. They teach respect and discipline, but they also get to know the students individually so they can pivot and adjust their style as needed. The monthly fee is nominal and gives you the opportunity to go to up to six one-hour classes a week. What you get in return is invaluable.

We are fairly new to Catha’s TaeKwondo, but have had a wonderful experience and our son loves it!! He would attend classes every day if I would let him. The instructors are encouraging, engaging and kind. The cost is very affordable and they do not require you to sign a contract! I highly recommend them!!

Excellent school with friendly and experienced instructors. They have great adult classes and a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend!

I just recently took the Women's Self Defense class offered by Catha's. I am not involved with martial arts in any way. I have to say, this class was amazing. The instructor was patient and clear with his instructions and made the class fun! I highly recommend this class to any female wanting to learn some basic, beginner self-defense or any female like me, who has taken a class previously and wanted to reaffirm those skills!
