Mike Rizzi and Mona were fantastic. I had already been denied by multiple firms when I first spoke to Mona. When I explained what happened, she said she didn't think it was fair that I was going to lose my job due to an injury and not have it be covered so they took the case. Mike explained that my case was pretty challenging; essentially it was a lost cause, but he worked really hard and we actually ended up settling. I'm pretty sure it's the hardest he's ever had to work for the least amount of money; I know of another person who used them and it was definitely not as difficult as my employer made it. Unfortunately, I can never work in my industry again due to the injury so the settlement wasn't enough to cover that, but it was enough to help my family financially for a little while.
The other firms wouldn't even give me reasons why they wouldn't take my case, just that they wouldn't take it. Mona listened to my story and treated me like a person, not just another statistic. I didn't feel like they were just trying to bolster their win/lose ratio by taking my case. I was actually surprised when she said they would take it but I was incredibly grateful. They made the process fairly easy for me, they were prompt with returning phone calls and emails, and I never felt rushed or pressured to do anything I didn't want to do. After the case was settled, my LTD attorney had questions I couldn't answer and every time I've posed a question to Mona, or had the LTD attorney speak directly with them, they were very quick to respond and incredibly helpful.
