“A few weeks ago I was in the bakery next door to this facility. While I was in there I seen this elderly woman who was in a wheel chair and a young women pushing her and helping her the way she spoke to this women was so gentle and kind. I at first just assumed it was her granddaughter helping her and thought to myself how more grandchildren should be this way to their grandparents. After over hearing conversation between them I quickly realized that, that was in fact not her grandchild or any relative to her it was a worker from next door at the hearing aid place. I asked her for her name and she said “it’s Jennifer”! I told her how awesome it was that she could help this little lady and be so kind and gentle to her. She smiled and said “there’s so much darkness in today’s world and if cupcake can make her smile and I’m able to help her get that cupcake I would do it every chance I had” this has sat with me for a few weeks now and the more I have thought on it the more it gives Me, my faith in the dark world that good people still exist. I wanted to reach out and tell you thank you for being such a kind person I’m sure her family would have been over joyed to see how their loved one was treated at a doctors appointment. I do not personally need anything done with my hearing but I would fully recommend taking my parents, husband, family members, or friends here if they were ever in need of hearing aids.”

“I lived in a Messick managed unit near Wake Forest for about 3 years. Messick was exactly what I want from a management company: no more, no less. They took collected my rent money, ensured repairs were completed, and when it returned my deposit with no funny business. Communication could be better. For example, there were a couple times a change was imposed by the HOA and I didn't hear about it from Messick but rather by signs posted in the neighborhood. I'd also suggest renters not count on Messick to follow up on move-out notices, if you don't say otherwise they will just assume you want to go month-to-month as opposed to sending you an email to confirm. But even when we had a mix-up there, Messick was flexible with me.”

“I spent a weekend with like minded 18th century living historian's. Think Rev War and Georgian era. The guided tour given by staff at the center was top notch and explained some of the founding of Salem and the Why did the Moravian church buy the County!?!. Our weekend was a private sanctioned event and we tried to be accurate. (No we didn't dig trenches) but observed masks and social distancing also requiring All disposable eating equipment. But it didn't detract from the overall experience of learning details, of life, clothing, stations in life, certain manners (and Lack of) and skills one could take away to reexamine.”
