Pretty good size dog park, cute playground, has a basketball court and outdoor exercise equipment. The walking trail has trash cans but lacks doggy poop bags.
Our family stopped here on the way to the mountains to let our girls play on the playground (and get out some energy so mom and dad could have some sanity as we drove down the road). What a great playground! Our girls loved the dinosaurs, and there was a great selection of things for them to play on. Getting down to the playground was a bit tricky, due to construction in the area, but we had a great time once we got there.
Beautiful, awesome park! Some things are under constriction/renovation, but it was still worth the trip!! Kids loved it, & parents did too!! 👍👍
This was a really cool place to bring the children! When they saw there were dinosaurs on the play structure they just started screaming with joy! Immediately they ran off to play on it. The area was very quaint and peaceful. There are trees around you providing just the right amount of shade but also letting in the sun enough to not make it creepy. My children played for a long time and didn't want to leave. If we are in the area again, we will need to bring a picnic to eat at one of the pavilions or picnic tables in the park. It was clean and well taken care of. Overall just a great experience.
P.S.-There's also great photo opportunities that you can take with the dinosaurs!
When you arrive you drive down this skinny gravel road by the power lines. Just keep goes and you'll get there. You should see the baseball park, the play ground is in that direction.
My kids really like this park. The dinosaurs add a little extra excitement. There's a lot of climbing options and so if your kids love the climbing it's a good option. Although you should be worn it can be quite scary for the younger ones who aren't as experienced.
I like how the swings are far enough away from the playground where you don't have to worry too much about the kids getting kicked. Also there's plenty of swings. There's a great place to park on the street if you don't want to walk too far. if it's not crowded you can get close. Otherwise you park in the lot which is about a 3 minute walk with little ones.
