The gardens were beautiful with numerous sculptures, water features and fountains. There are a multitude of pathways to get lost in, a tropical glasshouse and a butterfly enclosure. It is the sort of garden that you while away your time and totally relax. There is of course the usual gift shop and cafe but exploring a garden like this one needs a relaxing caffine hit.
The Botanical garden is an amazing place to visit. The orchid conservatory is always my first stop to see what’s blooming. Lots of orchids and tropical everywhere. They’ve done a great job with the garden so their is always tons blooming. Recommend going to the garden in the late fall when the Monarch Butterflies are stocking up in nectar before their migration. Probably one of the few places that you can see them anymore. Apart from the main garden they have natural walking trails in the back with native flora. Great spot to see hummingbirds and other native wild life.
Very pretty and very well maintained. They were expanding when we went through so we couldn't see the whole thing, but what we did see was well laid out and very pretty. Even in the middle of winter, the green house was in full swing and absolutely gorgeous. The bromeliads and water features provided a great contrast to all the amazing orchids. Definitely recommend going, especially if you can time it so that the butterflies will be out and about. Also make sure to check out their year round programming!
Wedding and reception were held at the Botanical Garden in January so we were inside. Lovely setting, beautiful gift shop to browse in while waiting. The room where the ceremony took place faced into the gardens with lots of windows and light. The food stations were set up in adjoining rooms. Food was well prepared and displayed. Tables surrounded the dance floor. A nearby hot house building housed a wonderful orchid exhibit which all guests had access to as well- an unexpected bonus.
I love Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. I love when they do Christmas lights. And this year was amazing. It was beautiful and fun and they really did have something for everyone. They served both wine and beer and had hot chocolate and hot apple cider, both of which can have liquor shots added. I can't wait for more events!

Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden Explore the botanical wonders in this complex founded by Belmont textile magnate Daniel Stowe. Located along the banks of Lake Wylie, the gardens spread across 110 acres of rolling landscape.
Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens is quite a beautiful place to visit. It's relatively young in age compared to larger and more established gardens throughout the USA.
