This review for Michael Pittman is LONG OVERDUE! I owe him a debt of gratitude. I signed up for vehicle insurance with Mr. Pittman years ago, yet we have never met in person. Years later, I became a first time home owner and spoke with someone else affiliated with State Farm for my homeowners insurance. Nearly a year later, it was discovered that my plumbing had a serious blockage that had been forming prior to me purchasing the home. This resulted in my home flooding and becoming unsafe to inhabit. I contacted State Farm and was transferred to MANY different departments. They documented everything and began the claims process. I received many calls the next couple of days. Sadly, they did not address or suggest any plans for lodging. So I found myself sleeping in my car one night and on a friends couch the next few nights. Not knowing what I should do, I called Mr. Pittman, the car insurance guy, and asked him for advice. After telling him my story, he seemed very upset and told me he would call me back in no later than an hour. I do not know who he called or what he said, but I was placed in a hotel that night and all of my lodging had been taking care of through my home owners insurance policy. I had initially spoken to many representatives, but none seemed to understand the situation they way Mr. Pittman did. And to hear him say "You are not sleeping in a car or on a couch another night" meant the world to me. I should have written this review so long ago, as I cannot thank him enough for helping to turn a disaster into a livable event. I know this is a long review, but I hope the reader will understand why it is important to give credit where it is deserved. Thank you!
