Karen is passionate about gymnastics, but more importantly, she is passionate about the young people she coaches! She teaches and she makes sure it is understood clearly and performed correctly, while all the time providing encouragement, caring, support and building confidence. She makes EVERY gymnast feel special! And Karen is an awesome communicator with parents. Never too busy to answer whatever questions or possible concerns, as well as keeping parents up to date about their child. My daughter was a gymnast for 9 years and had numerous Coaches in that time. She THRIVED while Karen was her Coach. And my daughter's words were always, "I love Karen"!”

“Our son is 7 years old and has been in the program for almost 4 months. So far we have seen physical and mental improvements. His ability to communicate has greatly improved. He is now much more independent and is open to trying new things. The staff has gone above and beyond to accommodate my son. They have visited my son's school to talk to the teachers and therapists, and have made themselves available for questions from any other service staff that may be involved with my son. I have not seen this level of service from any other facility that has serviced my son. The Brain Balance staff have been a God sent for my us. We can sincerely say that our quality of life has improved. The only challenge with the program is that it's not covered by insurance, but if you divide the total cost by the number of visits and service you will find that the cost is actually less than what is charged by a local therapist. They do offer a loan option, but you may be able to find better rates at your local bank. I have also heard of families that use gofundme to help them with the cost. Even though this may be a challenge, I believe that the benefits are well worth it. Overall we are very happy with the results that we have gotten so far. The one advise that I have for anyone that's deciding to register for the program is to take advantage of everything that it has to offer. Get to know the staff and work with them to help your child improve. They can offer the tools, but it is definitely a team effort. There is a lot to do at home too so be prepared to work with your child. Most importantly have fun.”

“My child has attended this school since 2020 and the moment he started as a 1year old , I witnessed an immediate change in intellectual growth. I feel at peace when I drop my child off, because the atmosphere is friendly and compassionate. The opportunity to view your child on the phone is just a plus! They prove the level of protection, by remembering familiar faces, but never releasing children unless they are on the list for pick up, regardless! The children are fed quality food, artwork/projects are well thought out, and lesson plans are fulfilled. The summers are even more fun for my child with the water/splash days.”

“My daughter was very unhappy and did not want to go to school when we had her in our local school district at the beginning of the year. It was becoming worse and worse as time went on, and her love for learning was just gone. I am sure the virtual school, for the past year and a half, had a significant impact on her and her outlook on school. However, after the beginning of the school year we were lucky enough to get a slot at Phoenix. Our daughter's love for school and learning has not only returned but it has expanded exponentially. She absolutely loves Pheonix and her teacher. We as parents have had nothing but great experiences when we have had to deal with teachers and other school staff members. This school is leaps and bounds above schools in the local school district. We highly recommend Phoenix, we couldn't be happier with them.”

“If you want honest parental feedback - here’s mine. Our experience after several years is positive. Is it perfect? No. Is any school perfect? No. Is life in general perfect? No. Visit the school for yourself and meet with the staff, parents and students. Unmonitored, negative Google reviews, that appear to be from disgruntled students (not parents), is not the venue to obtain serious feedback. Google reviews is just another platform where people want to call out others behind the screen. Cornerstone Charter Academy is a reputable school, with a stringent academic curriculum to prepare our children for life after they leave our homes. It’s what parents want. They also have a solid athletic program, with some very talented students. It’s what the students want. They have a zero tolerance for bullying and fighting. Unlike public schools, repeat offenders are expelled (and often times all you get is one chance here. It’s what parents, students, school administration wants. I can’t speak to the racism remarks, because honestly, we personally have not experienced this in the 4 years we’ve been here. Our children are caucasian, and they are friends with all races at this school. Seriously not sure this exists here, but again these comments appear to be from disgruntled students. This is just feedback from my perception and experience here.”
