We have been staying here since August, and it's easy to see why so many choose to live here for years! The entire staff are incredibly helpful, and they take pride in maintaining the land. They do several activities throughout the year for all the children, and they make you feel like family. It is the most peaceful place, and surprisingly quiet, considering the lake is located next to I-40. The summer is busy out here, but even then it's not bad. The lake itself is muddy in some areas, but definitely not the worst. They have lots of cool obstacle courses in the lake, a huge waterslide, and two rope swings, so there's something for everyone.
If you have children that are enrolled in the schools in the area, there is a school bus that picks up and drops off at the entrance.
They have a playground, laundry, and very decently priced propane on site, so that has been a big help when we've run out.
The sites are large and fit our 37' trailer and our three vehicles with no problem, and most sites have picnic tables. They are gravel, but that doesn't bother us because at least we know during super wet weather, we aren't going to sink into the mud.
Literally the only downside out here is lack of WiFi, but there are several mobile internet options available that work well out here. We have a cricket hotspot but don't use it much.
All in all, I highly recommend this campground, whether it's for a weekend or long term.
Love this campground! My husband and myself along with our dog and cat lived here for about 6 months and it was great! The staff is super helpful and understanding, and grounds are kept super clean and there is hardly any noise. The spots are very spacious, too! Oh. And the. Provided us with a picnic table which I thought was super nice! They're constantly adding new things, as well. The playground looks nice, it was just finished a few weeks before we left. They're also adding in some other things as well to accommodate the people staying here. The lake is also really nice in summer as well! Go check em out!
As far as internet goes (because this was my biggest concern moving here) we used a t mobile tower here without a problem. $50/mo, no contract and no fee for the box. Literally walked into the t mobile store and walked out with an internet tower for nothing. Set up your online account and it's $50 a month. Works great!
We got stuck in meetings and when we were done we couldn't find any campgrounds with an opening. We were referred to Tucker Lake RV by a full campground. When we called no one was available, but they called us back and said they had a site and would wait for us. When we got there we pleasantly surprised. The park is well maintained. Full hookups and we picked up lots of channels off our antenna. Xfinity mobile worked great there.
This was our second stay at Tucker Lake and it was just as good as the first time. We were escorted to our site which was plenty big for our 45' MH and truck. It's a no frills park, but we're self contained and generally don't use amenities. It's a nice location next to the lake. They have built more sites in the back of the park which they were working on last year and have now finished. They do regular maintenance and upkeep to the property and show pride in ownership. We would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I recently purchased a Minnie Winnie RV and were eager (and nervous) to take it on a test run. We decided to stick close to home and booked a two night stay at Tucker Lake. WOW!!!! From the moment we met Sharlette (Charlette?) at check-in to getting a tour from Natalie to the campsite with all the hook-ups, this place is amazing. We spent 5 hours on the beach at the lake, had great food at the concession stand and met a LOT of really wonderful people. While it is only 15 minutes from home, we will definitely be back.
