Clayton Town Square

Nice place for a concert. We saw Chatham Rabbits.

We did the Clayton Sculpture Trail today. There’s plenty of places nearby to park and we just followed the online map & walked around the area. Great way to visit Clayton downtown.

This location is one place to start or end a ride along the Neuse River Trail. There is parking next to the Square and is shaded enough too. The park is also a location for a picnic.

A great staple for downtown Clayton. This park is a great centrepiece for outdoor concerts, food trucks, holiday events and everything inbetween. In the last year and a half that I have lived in this great town I have found myself here on multiple occasions. They also have awesome artwork on display at this park that is always fun to take some time and look at. I really hope the growth continues on this end of town. This is loads of potential for our downtown core!

It's a pretty straightforward city-block park---maybe a quarter to a third of a football field. It's basically a big square block of grass devoid of trees and surrounded by sidewalks on the perimeter. When the weather is nice, parents play with their kids and pets, and let the children run around, and sometimes people will just bring their chairs and sit and talk. It's also the place where outside concerts and other activities are held.
