  I was skeptical at first to bring my DD to Lakeshore Pediatrics due to some reviews, however decided to give it a try and worse come to worse, try another doc if it does not work out. Being a new patient, they insisted on "new established patient appointment". I drag it because my DD freaks out at every doctor appointment from the time taking his weigh till the end. He will scream and kick and have to be held down to get anything done.
  
  As we enter the door, he started with his typical behavior kicking and screaming for his life. Nurse Joanna was undeterred and sincerely talk to him a few time to be his friend. For the first time in his life, he hold a nurse hand and walk out from the waiting room to try to get his height again. That in itself was mind blowing. Even though he starts to get upset again when he saw the scale, it is a big milestone.
  
  Then came time for check up, again typical have to hold him down to get it done. It was so bad that Dr. Nadra inquire whether is he seeing a behavior pediatric. I told him that he had the same problem with wristband and haircut too but was an angel on the last haircut and I thought that it just a matter of time for him to understand.
  
  Then, Dr. Nadra kneel down to my son level and with the most sincere voice and said, " I'm sorry, I'm sorry if I have scared you, I just want to check. Did I scare you." My son nodded, for the first time he communicated with a doctor. The whole picture just shouted, " At last I found someone who understand me, understand that I am scared" Being his mother, I didn't understand, even though I thought I did and could not reach out to him and compounded with me being upset with his behavior, I was so so wrong. I was more concern of how his behavior effects the surroundings, then my son emotional needs.
  
  After asking my son permission and taking turns to check mama and doctor, he actually open his mouth wide and let Dr. Nadra check his mouth and we also manage to check his front and back chest without any incident. I was near to tears then,.... there is a light at the end of the tunnel...
  
  I walk out from the office, realizing I was wrong in so many fronts and need to understand the cause of bad behavior and acting out before reacting. The best $35 copay spent, I would give a million if I have it.
  
  The next day, when we drove pass the clinic, he said bye bye doctor! What a change! To those parents that have similar situation, there is hope..... give Dr. Nadra a try. Who else best to treat your son than the person who throughly understand him.

  Lakeshore has been our pediatrician for our kids for 5 years! When we called last week for an appointment for my daughter, they were empathetic and accommodating as always - and got her in the same day. Staff is awesome! Highly recommend Lakeshore!

  Highly recommend Lakeshore Pediatric Center! They've been our pediatrician for 4 years. Went July and August for the kids yearly well visits. As always - very friendly office staff & compassionate nurses - even with scared kids getting shots. And can always get my kids in when sick - even went in on a Saturday a few times to see their own Doc. Didn't have to go to urgent care. My kids love going even when they don't feel good. Again, highly recommend them!

  First visit for our 3 year old daughter after switching from a larger practice. We were extremely pleased with the friendliness of the staff and thoroughness of the exam. We never felt rushed and they made sure our daughter was comfortable and that all of our questions were answered. Wish we had switched earlier!
