(October 7, 2018, 7:57 am)The Latta Plantation Nature Reserve is the perfect place to visit when tranquility is just what the doctor ordered. Miles of trails await your exploration, with a constant serenade from your avian partners. The trails are clearly marked, and trail guides can be acquired from the visitor's center upon arriving. There are places to stop and rest all along the way, picnic tables for hungry hikers and scenery that just doesn't quit. This would also be a great addition to any homeschooling curriculum. If peace is what you need, you may just find it here.

(January 24, 2018, 7:53 am)Latta Plantation offers miles of hiking options that are closer to Charlotte than the more popular destinations like Crowders. Being on the water, it has a more diverse bird population. Definitely worth a visit.
