  UPDATE:
  I've been back several times since the previous review and things seem to be getting better. MUCH better service and I've gotten my first choice of sides every time. They also seem to be doing a much better job at keeping the beer list updated. There are lots of BBQ choices in Matthews and Moe's is still our family favorite.
  
  PREVIOUS:
  I freakin LOVE(D) this place. My family and I have been coming to eat here almost once a week since it opened. We're loyal. There are lots of BBQ places in our little town to choose from and we feel the food at Moe's is consistently the best.
  
  I say all that to say we've been getting pretty frustrated and have left disappointed virtually every visit for the past 3/4 months. While the food is still great, the experience and level of service has gone way down hill. We eat dinner when most people do, between 530 and 7 or so. That's when we go to Moe's. There has not been a time in recent memory when virtually all of the sides of the day are gone by that time.
  
  Today is what finally did me in. My sons and I wanted wings and chose Moe's (again) over 3 other places in town with great wings. We waited for almost 15 minutes just to get to the register. (this is pretty normal here). I asked for the beer list while we waited. I noticed it was the same beer list from almost 3 weeks ago. I knew it couldn't be right because there were some beers on there that only come out once a year and kick pretty quick. Sure enough there was not a single beer on there that was accurate. The guy at the register said he knows his manager needs to update the beer lists. Then we order wings (6:15pm on a Saturday) and the guy at the front tells me they are out of wings. It's Saturday. Wings are your special of the day today. We left and decided to go to Mac's instead and quite honestly will probably be doing that from now on.
  
  We'll be doing it for the reasons mentioned above and also because of the staff at Moe's. The staff has consistently been burn out teenagers and early 20's people who seem to have absolutely no sense of urgency, knowledge about the beers or desire to please the customer. It's disappointing because we really like the food here and it's in a great location in town.
  
  I hope they address some of this so that this can go back to being "our spot" each week. When they do I'll enthusiastically change this to 5 stars.

  Reminded me of my childhood when my Dad would take us to Ollies BBQ in Alabama. Pulled pork, marinated cole slaw and fried green tomatoes! Amazing!!! And the cherry tree outside was in full bloom, bonus!

  My 5-year-old and I wanted to go on an adventure together. We decided to walk through the Matthews Station area. Moe's big metal pig out front attracted my child's attention and so we decided to eat there. She loved all the details (like the benches have pigs on them - which I never would've noticed without her help).
  The woman at the front register was wonderful at helping us navigate a new menu and finding something we could share and enjoy. It was wonderful and everyone was so helpful and kind, and the food was delicious!
  We have a great memory that we share with others and talk about together all the time. I know we'll be back because the rest of our family wants to try it out and my littlest can't stop talking about it.

  Food from the smoker, wonderfully prepared. They even have tofu for vegetarians. Their sides, especially the banana pudding, are outstanding. They also have a good selection of craft beers on tap. The only reason I can't rate them a 5 is because of the environmentally unfriendly use of so much styrofoam and plastic that can be recycled and straws...

  This is probably my favorite place to eat in the entire area! The food is always fantastic, the staff is friendly and helpful and one of the guys recognizes us and always switches us to the to go cups without being asked- they go the extra mile. Prices are reasonable and I've never had a bad experience.
