  This is a great place to camp and hike. It is very quiet, clean and safe. The bathrooms are very clean although it's hard to keep the shower running long due to it being on a 15 sec timer so shower quick!

  I love this park. Very beautiful and peaceful. There are trails, a nature preserve, playground, camping, and lake. There are picnic tables by the lakefront which makes it a great spot for lunch or to play with cars! I would recommend this location year round!

  This place is a real treasure. It's deceptively large - many trails (some are quite lengthy), campground, waterfront, etc. The nature center is great and the staff super friendly. The trails have little brochure-based tracking games for kids and everything is well maintained. I hiked the Pine Hollow, Creekside and Cedar Ridge trails and they are just serene. Saw a Barred Owl too! Highly recommend a visit to this fantastic preserve.

  I thought this was a regular small natural park, but no. Lake front picnic spots were awesome. This is an amazing place for picnic and outing for a day. Also, the shelters are excellent with water and power hookups. Not to mention they have got some campaign grounds which looks amazing to try out.
  Must visit Nature park around Charlotte and it’s vicinities.

  I love this park for camping. They have huge fire rings for campfires. They have a park for the little ones to play on. They have several nature trails. Chestnut trail is very long and will take you deep into the woods. Our family enjoys the outside and being here we definitely get to enjoy relaxing together as a family taking walks, roasting s’mores and being in nature. One thing I particularly do not care for are the showers. You have to keep hitting a button in order for the water to run. But you do have a toilet and sink in there. The last couple days the water has been ice cold. Hopefully they get that fixed. The staff is super friendly. We do enjoy camping here.
