Charlotte Chess Center - Main

My 15 year old son takes chess class here and also plays tournaments here. He absolutely loves it! His instructors are very kind and knowledgeable. He often has an expert review his tournament matches afterwards to learn more tips and strategies. The assignments are very motivating for him. Each time he completes his homework of 100 online puzzles he gets a new little token. They do a great job at awarding achievements. There is a lot of detail involved in recording tournament scores and keeping track of enrollment, etc. it’s very impressive how easy it is to register and look up the leaderboard. Every time I’ve had a question, the staff is very prompt in responding to me. Sarah especially has answered the most of my questions. Highly recommend Charlotte Chess Center!

Charlotte Chess Center is a very good area for chess tournaments ! I play many games here and they update your rating in 2 hours ! They are very kind and they pair you with the right person . My USCF rating is 1186 and they usually pair me with a range of 1000 - 1400 . Excellent area to get your rating up !

Trying to get back to chess i stumbled upon this club. After 2 months there i really enjoy it. First i think the club is very welcoming. I felt home right away. They have a lot of tournaments every month and the Tuesday night games enable you to play a weekly slow game. Before the Tuesday game, Peter gives a lecture generally analysing a game played that week by the pro players. Furthermore he is always there to answer any question. I would recommend this club to anyone.
