  We are so happy that we booked Alex for our first dance lessons! Alex was awesome to work with and we truly came away from our lessons with an entire choreographed dance above and beyond our initial expectations! Alex was patient and easy to work with as she taught us everything from dance basics to more advanced dance steps, turns and dips! We really enjoyed all of our lessons and even got to use two lessons to prepare for first dances with each of our parents. First Dance Charlotte helped make our first dance experience seamless!

  My husband and I eloped, then had a big wedding reception to celebrate six months later. I knew that when it came time for our first dance, we would need some help. However, I work nights as a nurse practitioner in the ICU and my husband is a surgery resident, so we had very little time together to devote to dance classes. Luckily, we found Alex's online tutorials, and we are so glad that we did. Although we actually live in Charlotte, we decided to go with the online course , as this was a more affordable and practical option for us due to time constraints. The tutorials were easy to navigate and the choreography was easy to learn. Alex designed the course in a really thoughtful way that allowed us to build on each step and break our learning into small chunks whenever we had time, and it was highly effective. Our dance turned out wonderfully and we had such a blast learning and performing it. It was a really fun activity as a couple and we are so grateful to Alex for making it happen and for making our first dance so special.

  My wife and I had a great experience with Alex & First Dance Charlotte. We booked the Coffee & Cake package which came with the online tutorial as well as three private in-person lessons with Alex at her dance studio (60 minutes each). The online tutorial was very helpful to get the basic steps down and practice at home at our convenience. The private lessons were meant to come up with a perfectly timed choreography which was tailored to our first dance song. We were impressed by Alex and her skills since we were not sure initially if our desired song would make for a good wedding dance (Ben Howard "Promise"). However, after listening to the song a few times, Alex was quickly able to come up with a very sophisticated choreography and we were able to practice it step by step during our three sessions. On top of this, Alex' teaching style was super relaxed and she was open to our feedback/thoughts on what we felt comfortable doing. We left confident thanks to Alex' attention to detail and were able to impress our wedding guests at our reception! In fact, a bunch of people asked us how we came up with such a great choreography. The best thing is that we can now put these steps to future use (+ we have continued access to the online tutorial) if we want to dance to other songs so choosing First Dance Charlotte was definitely worth the money!
  
  PS: Bonus points to Alex for being flexible with the bookings and for making a nice gift card since the lessons were a Christmas gift for my wife!

  Alex is so nice and great to work with!!! We had no experience dancing and she quickly came up with a routine for the song we chose and somehow taught it to us in 2 hours. Our wedding guests were so impressed and can’t stop talking about our dance! Most couples just sway to the music for their first dance so it really makes an impression when you do more. First Dance Charlotte is worth every penny for a memorable event!!

  Don't think twice about working with Alex - she is simply the best & so bubbly & fun to work with!!! Alex truly helped us prepare for our first dance with a classic, slow, & romantic dance. We wanted to take dance lessons because my husband and I are rusty dancers so naturally we were nervous about dancing in front of our friends & family. However, after only 4 dance lessons with Alex we felt like complete pros and were at total ease. The entire process was so much fun, and we had the best time just learning different dance moves that we hope she even provides group classes in the future just for a fun date night! Overall, highly highly recommend Alex to get you in tip top dancing shape for your wedding. She will listen to whatever you want and curate it just for you!
