Due Amici Pizza

I wanted a snack last Saturday so I decided to try out a pizza spot close to my house. When I walked in
I saw it was rather busy. The staff greeted me immediately. The guy who took my order was super nice. I ordered a few slices, the garlic knots, and a beef patty. I just had to try it all. The food was done in 5 mins or less. I got home and was surprised that I had found a gem so close to home. I would def recommend this place to anyone looking for great pizza with a NY feel.

So I LOVE the food here - the pizza is really great NY style - very authentic, good quality toppings. I love that they sell by-the-slice, makes it perfect for a quick lunch or if you take the kids. I've also had several of their hot subs and they are really really good. A big surprise here - their chicken parm dinner here is one of the best around - even better than the 'big name' Italian spots - its a huge winner. Only reason for missing a star - the service. No one in here is ever friendly. They are very matter-of-fact, no smiles, no jokes, I always feel like they're upset to be there. GRANTED, I'm Southern - and have a different expectation of friendly than NY - BUT - this shop isn't in NY - its in NC. If I could give em 4.5, I would - the food is that good, the 'service' just keeps it from being as fun as it could be.

I have to say that as a Dasher I encountered a problem that isn't uncommon as one would think when dealing with a Independent Merchant, but the owner/ MOD of the place is very much dedicated to his customers. If they are home ordering from the comfort of their homes, or in person he displayed a passion for yes attitude that has been uncontested by many of the franchised restaurant owners and staff.

Based off my experience as a Dasher I would most certainly return here with family, or friends or recommend it to a traveler visiting Charlotte, NC.

Always Our Families place to go. Tried their Caprese Pizza for the first time. Fantastic!!! Don't forget a side of their fantastic Garlic Knots. What a GREAT Family operated business.

Our favorite pizza place. The food is always amazing and the service is so fast even when they are busy! They are a bit sassy, but I don’t mind. It is never disrespectful :) oh, and try the Italian ice! Delicious!!
