Stephens Road Nature Preserve-Cashion Entrance

Stephens Road Nature Preserve is one of the jewels in the Mecklenburg County Nature preserves system. It has an entrance on Cashions Road and Stephens Road. The park has close to 8 miles of walking trails. The trails take you through a wide variety of terrain and natural areas. There are several oak trees in this preserve that appear to be close or over 250 years old based on circumference etc. The preserve is typically quite. Pets are supposed to be on leash, but many people come here to walk there dogs with electronic leashes. Help keep the preserve clean. If you see trash take it with you. Parking on this side of the preserve is basically just pull off on the side of the road.
