We attended Cowboy Church. Awesome
Great place to hike or let your wife ride her horse. Lots of trails. Could be a little better marked.
I had a great first time camping at 4B Farm and Campground. We lucked out with amazing weather that always makes for good camping and riding, but the facility and amenities made the weekend a no brainer. The premises are kept clean and tidy. We used a stall at the main barn, the bath house, firewood and fire ring available for purchase/use, a camping cabin and a campsite. The trails are accessible right at the end of the campground. This was my first time riding Uwharrie National Forest. I was told it was rocky, but I’m used to Southern Missouri rocky. So yes, the trails are rocky at times and sole protection definitely recommended. However, there are plenty of areas that are beautiful dirt single track either great footing or with tree roots more than rocks. If you aren’t used to riding mountains, there are some trails labeled “easy” that have decent climbs. Nothing for those used to riding mountain trails but maybe not “easy” if you come from flatter areas. Service is not great. I used Equilab to track my mileage along with a picture of the trails. There is a trail map at the campground office that you can take a picture of, but I also found one online o saved to my phone. The trails on also available on two trail apps… I just didn’t have them downloaded and felt comfortable with my map images. There are water crossing on the trails, but I was told when it is dry water can become scarce. That being said, some strategy is planning your ride is a good idea! There are miles and miles of trails. In two days, I rode 16 miles and barely touched most of the trails available. I definitely hope to return and see some of the trails I wasn’t able to ride this trip.
Our family has enjoyed staying at 4B Farm and Campground for 20 plus years. Great environment for kids and adults alike.. Very well maintained campsites and stables. Super friendly owners and staff. Easy access to great horse trails. Highly recommend for all trail riders!!!
Awesome place to enjoy horseback riding with family and friends, or even as a loner with a one horse show! Christian environment, great atmosphere created by the owners, Mark and Kathy! Love uwharrie mountains and being a regular on the miles upon miles of trails; all of which are accessible directly from the trailhead out of the campground 🤠
