“I have been lucky enough to own a few pieces of jewelry for many years (15+) from the very talented DLP. I have 5 pieces in all, the gold flower necklace, earrings and bracelet and the gold butterfly necklace and matching earrings. I mix them up a lot as butterfies and flowers always go together! Every time I wear them, someone inevitably comes up to me and compliments me on my jewelry. I have always admired the craftsmanship of these beautiful pieces and they have become very dear to me. “What a fun, unique store! I think people who comment on the character of Sid aren't really thinking about who the dude actually is. He's a unique personality, and says weird things because he thinks they're funny to say. You can tell he's not being serious. The lady working in the costume department is super sweet. We could've talked to her for hours about her life experience. A lot of people drive by this store, thinking "Hey, this place looks interesting, I should go here sometime!" - well, why don't you? I don't think I will EVER find another store quite like this one.”

I do wish there was more consistency between the portion sizes on the meals and appetizers. Pasta was very small and expensive vs some of the other mains. We will probably be back to try it again.”

“I lived in Ashbrook for a year in 2019 and I find myself missing it frequently. I had a lovely refurbished apartment with high quality appliances, and was shown the exact unit I would be moving into when touring. The balconies are lovely and it really feels like you are living in the woods. This means you might see a spider every now and then, but by no means did I ever have problems with pests. The bathrooms weren't as updated as the kitchen but they were clean and worked fine. I personally never had to put in a maintenance request, but during the few mandatory maintenance experiences I had the guys were super friendly. They also give you proper notice for such maintenance. During some very stressful times Ashbrook is a very comfortable, relaxing place to call home. Parking was never an issue and at no point during my stay did I feel unsafe. My neighbors had pets and I had no issue with noise, only time I heard them was when I went outside. If I ever move back to the area I would chose to move back to Ashbrook in a heartbeat .A Lovely mix of residents from grad students to families and even elderly couples only further helped to make Ashbrook feel like a community, even if you keep to yourself like I did. While not walkable to downtown the bus stops right outside the complex and Chapel Hill has a wonderful free public transportation system.”

“This is a wonderful place to live. A small apartment community nestled in trees and sunshine. The majority of residents here are very respectful, peaceful and quiet. The neighborhood is safe to walk around with kids or by yourself. People watch out for crime here and report suspicious behavior to authorities right away. I’ve had nothing but positive interactions with my neighbors. The new management is great! They are very attentive and responsive to residents needs and they are doing their best to make changes and renovate the buildings. Yes there are cons, like bugs and lots of bees during the warmer months. But this is the south and at least Chambers Ridge try’s to keep up with the state wide insect issue. I highly recommended this place for students, couples, or anyone who wants peace, quiet and safety. I’ll be renewing my lease for sure.”

“I've lived in this lovely apartment complex for 2 years now and wish I didn't have to move. I completed my degree at UNC and will only be here for a little longer probably and might have to relocate due to graduate school elsewhere, but this place is the source of my fondest memories and I will miss it deeply. Management and maintenance staff were wonderful and responsive, everything was convenient, and lovely little pups all around! The only thing in terms of maintenance/cleanliness I wish there was was maybe more dog waste bag/bin combos around so that more people with their pups could pick up their messes, but other than that everything is really clean and well-maintained. As far as staff, during my two years only one was rude and everyone else was lovely---and even with the rude member, I had a compassionate response from management and they resolved my issue as soon as possible. For future residents, take advantage of the events! The community is lovely and quiet and very safe. I'll be really sad when I have to go because I don't think there are as many areas in the triangle as safe as this little place in Carrboro and Autumn Woods in particular! Enjoy your amenities included (valet trash, excellent pest control, easy maintenance requests) with very little extra cost. :) And talk to your neighbors---they are all very friendly!”

“We are so fortunate to have one of the best places to learn the martial arts in the country right here in our Chapel Hill/Carrboro area backyard! I could go on and on about the positives, but I think the most important thing that sets UTA apart from other martial arts schools, is their unmatched focus on teaching. Grand Master Partridge and all of the UTA instructors (most all are master level instructors) really enjoy watching every student learn and grow, no matter their age or abilities. As an older adult who just started learning in my late 50s, I really appreciate the joy the whole UTA team shows in watching their students develop, whether they are 4 years old or 84. And given the positive environment and quality of instruction, the pace of growth at all levels is brisk.”

“Luna is pretty awesome. The kitchen and bar are speedy with food and drinks. The waitress was really nice and helpful, providing good recommendations. I really enjoyed being outside on their patio having a frozen drink. If anything, I’d have a few chair options for the tables. As a big girl, the chair was uncomfortable and pinched my thighs. Overall, a really good restaurant, especially if you want something out of the ordinary and if you have gluten free or vegan folks in your group.”
