(October 19, 2025, 9:43 pm)As a photographer I've come across a lot of beautiful churches, but the Up River church is among the most beautiful. The congregations history goes back to "a Quaker meeting held in 1672 by William Edmundson in what is now Hertford, approximately twelve miles from Up River."
What makes it so picture perfect for me is it follows Henry David Thoreau's edict from Walden Pond “Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity!"
The architectural design is so simple yet so elegant.
