Mayflower Seafood Restaurant

I don't go out to restaurants very often. I'm very selective about it. In Rockingham County, North Carolina, there aren't many options in my opinion. Ambience is important. Glassware and silverware are important. Napkins are important. The food has to look good. Placement is everything. Bring me a separate plate if too much food is covering other foods. Price? I'll pay for the best. Give me time to enjoy the experience of eating your delicious food. So...Mayflower in Madison, North Carolina was not the best food I've had. However, the server, Cheyenne, was professional, very good at her job. She listened to my requests and was happy to serve. I will return and ask for her. By the way, I had fried shrimp, cole slaw, baked potato and sweet tea. Thank you Cheyenne!

Great service and food. We were the youngest couple there for our 24th wedding anniversary. It was very pleasant and we had a good time thanks to the staff.

We stopped for lunch mid afternoon. The restaurant was not very busy. Was a nice quiet meal. We ordered the regular size Fried Flounder plate and regular size Popcorn shrimp. Both with French fries. Both plates were fresh and hot. They were delicious. Our server was very good. She checked frequently to make sure we had everything we needed.
