We worked with Tom to get our house sold in Cary. Tom was very easy to work with and got the house sold much faster than we thought we could. He did a great job of providing us advice on what items to update in the house to help it move faster and helped line us up with help to get the tasks done. He hosted multiple open houses and had solid traffic coming through our house until it got sold. We enjoyed working with him and believe he provided great service!

We have been considering putting our house of 23 years on the market to move closer to our girls and the grandchildren living in Cary, NC for quite some time. We were over at our daughter’s house one Sunday and a house in her neighborhood was having an open house. My daughter convinced me to go look at it for fun. This is where we first met Tom. My daughter was so impressed with his professionalism and the attention he gave to each person that came in to the open house that she nudged me into reaching out to him to discuss our options. Tom is exceptional at his job. We lived an hour away from Cary but he did not hesitate to help us develop a plan to sell our house and to look at many options for homes in Cary/Apex. He toured our home and gave us a “to do” list to get it market ready. He inspected it after the work was done and then gave us several options for placing our home on the market and provided us with a compressive comparison of the current market. He listened to our wish for a specific price point and helped us develop a plan to move forward with that price, explaining what types of situations would trigger considering lowering the price. The COVID-19 pandemic hit in the middle of our preparations and Tom monitored the market carefully and timed our listing strategically. The detail he put into prepping our house for the first show was phenomenal. Our house was listed on May 22, 2020, at 9:00 am and we received an offer at 5pm that day 5K over the asking price. Once we accepted the offer he described the next steps, inspections, appraisals and the negotiations that follow. He helped us to strategically respond to these reports. It was a stressful time but Tom was always available and ready to problem solve any last minutes issues that arose. I give Tom the highest possible rating and would recommend him unequivocally to anyone wanting to buy or sell. It is more of a stressful process than you would think and we were thankful Tom was there to guide us.

In the search for a house in the Cary area, we went through several real estate agents. They were either too pushy, or weren't listening to what we were looking for. Tom Murel, very patiently, showed us houses for over a year and a half, always listening to what we were looking for and never once pushed us towards a decision. We were so impressed with him and his knowledge, that even though we did a For-Sale-By-Owner, we involved Tom for his expertise in the process. Could we have saved some fees in doing it ourselves? Sure, but Tom had earned our trust, and we wanted to ensure it was done right. We can be so much more reassured in our dream home because of Tom's knowledge, patience, and ability to really listen to us.
