We hired Brianna as a doula for the birth of our first baby. We met with her prior to the birth to go over the birth process and everything it entailed and felt very informed and prepared.

Even though we were unable to labor at home as we had initially planned due to my water breaking, Brianna arrived promptly to the hospital to meet up with us and was extremely helpful in suggesting positions and movements to try and get my contractions going. She was a supportive, calm presence and helped me and my husband feel more at ease every step of the way, even as the birth was not going as we had imagined it may go.

The photos and the summary of the birth she sent us are so special, and something I am thankful for. So many moments and decisions recorded for us to remember that we may have forgotten about otherwise. My eyes fill with tears every time I see the photos and read over what we went through that day in order to safely meet our little one.

I hired Brianna as a doula for the birth of our daughter. Prior to giving birth, she met with us twice to discuss our birth plan, talk us through the process of labor/delivery, give us tips as we prepare and answer any questions we might have. Just those two appointments were super helpful. The last few weeks before she was born, Brianna checked in multiple times and answered any questions that arose.

The night of delivery was extremely fast, but Brianna got to our house quickly. Things escalated faster than expected and only a few hours later our daughter arrived. As a result, we didn't get to see every element of Brianna in action, because my labor progressed so fast, however my husband and I have said time and again how grateful we were to have the peace of mind that someone was there the entire time that really knew what was going on and could help my husband know how to best support me through the process.

Brianna also snapped multiple pictures right after our daughter was born. Just those photos alone made having a doula worth it (but there were plenty of other reasons). I tear up nearly every time I look at them. They were so special and allowed my husband and me to enjoy the moment of welcoming our daughter into the world, but also getting it captured on camera.

I hired Kirsten to attend the birth of my third child in September. She was wonderful and I was equally comfortable with Brianna if she had come in Kirsten’s place! Having a third has been a wonderful whirlwind, which is one reason I’m only writing a review now. If I were more organized I probably would’ve done this right away!!

Kirsten was very responsive and tuned in to what I was telling her and wonderful at paying attention to details. Before the birth we discussed my preferences and how the pregnancy was going. When it came close to the end she was very easy to be in touch with and there to encourage me during the last stretch. When we went to the hospital, I was there early because my water broke and I had to be treated with antibiotics, so she came when we wanted which was when contractions began to pick up. She was very good to respect my preferences in mostly verbal affirmations and reminders, but when I was beside myself she was also very quick to have an idea that would help, and in the end she along with the birth team was able to assist me in pain relief and encouragement so that I could eventually have my daughter pain med free with no complications! I highly recommend these doulas and I would definitely hire them again!

Brianna was with us through the night from the start of labor contractions to the moment our son was born 13 hours later. She did a wonderful job of reminding me of my options in the hospital when I could not think straight. She offered many positions to help with pain management and was very encouraging. Brianna provided a peaceful presence in the midst of intense pain. I could trust in her calm approach to help me believe in myself. I am so thankful Brianna was my doula for the birth of our first child!

The doulas at Tiny Humans are thoughtful, knowledgeable, and kind. They care for families with considerable attentiveness to their needs. I could not recommend them more!
