Sam Gray Portraits

I always wanted portraits of my children and I am so glad that I was able to find Sam through a friend. I knew his work was excellent, because I had seen his work of my friend's children. So after researching many other artists, I decided I just had to use Sam. I am so glad that I did now that I have the portraits. He payed so much attention to detail and the colors that I wanted to use and created the most gorgeous portraits of my two kids. I couldn't be happier that he was able to capture my kids at their age and I will forever treasure them.

Working with Sam was a pleasure. He painstakingly integrated multiple photos of our girls from their childhood, and managed to use the photos of our dogs (since deceased) as well to generate a composite image of the four of them together as they were years ago. His mastery of computer modeling, photography and painting came together to produce a timeless piece which rivals my family's portraits from 150 years ago. I am proud to own a Gray piece, and delighted that we will be able to pass it down to our grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

We made our first trip to visit Mr. Gray 19 yrs ago. Amazing portraits! So amazing that we have made the trip to NC 3 more times so that all or our daughters had a portrait taken at the age of 16.
He has the ability to capture a timeless look/feel, and can elevate a picture to the level of fine art.

Sam is a passionate photographer that truly captures moments in his photography that your family can cherish for a lifetime. We were blown away at the moment in time he captured of our children playing together. The artwork is now a centerpiece in our home. Thank you again Sam

Twenty some years ago, I would visit my cousin's home in NC and admire the two portraits of her young children enhancing her home. At that point, I thought to myself, if I ever have the need for a portrait, Sam Gray would be the person and photographer I would use.

Fast forward, two great things happened, we moved to NC, had a daughter. We called Sam Gray when she was 13 months old, again at six, and most recently when she turned 13. Each and every time, we have been treated with great professionalism, and the utmost patience on his part. This last time, in trying to make decisions on what pictures to choose, and the sizes, he spent at least four hours sharing and offering his expertise until we felt comfortable with our decisions.

In lieu of vacations, and anniversary celebrations, this would be our Christmas gift to each other on the years we would use his services. We gladly opted to have another Sam Gray portrait hang in our home; this investment was well worth the memories of our only child growing up.

He has a way like no other to capture the innocence of a child, and beauty all around, he definitely has a God given talent, and we are so proud to have his work beautify our home.
