(November 11, 2019, 9:55 am)I ran the NYC Marathon November 3, 2019. Throughout the intense training, I went in for full body cryotherapy sessions. This was instrumental in me getting to the start line healthy. As far as recovery after the race, I rented the Normatec boots to take with me. Since this was my first marathon, I didn’t know what to expect. I can’t say enough about how much this helped with my recovery. After the marathon, I used the compression boots for an hour and 20 minutes. We went to dinner afterwards where other runners were dining at the same restaurant. You could tell they were struggling to walk. I was sore, but nothing like it would have been without them. I also used them the following day. I was able to bounce back very quickly and do a 9 mile run the following weekend. In the future, I will rent these boots to take with me for all out of town races. I highly recommend the rental program at CryoNC.
